The Journal of WAAS has appointed its first-batch Regional Volunteer Academic Liaison Officers covering the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, South Africa and China.

To further build an international academic bridge, expand global communication channels for agricultural research, and standardize and institutionalize journal outreach, manuscript solicitation and cross-border academic liaison activities, the Journal of World Academy of Agricultural Sciences has completed the selection and appointment of its first-batch Regional Volunteer Academic Liaison Officers. A total of five officers have been appointed, covering the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, South Africa and China. The list of appointed officers and relevant position information are announced as follows:
I. List of the First-batch Regional Volunteer Academic Liaison Officers
Region of the United States: Ethan Miller
Region of the United Kingdom: Charlotte White
Region of Singapore: Tan Jun Hui
Region of South Africa: Taufeeq Johnson
Region of China: Li Wenrui (Macao, China)
II. Job Responsibilities
Appointed Regional Volunteer Academic Liaison Officers are tasked with liaising with agricultural scholars in respective regions, promoting the journal, soliciting high-quality manuscripts, and facilitating cross-border academic information exchange on a voluntary basis. Officers shall not take part in peer-review of any submitted manuscripts. This is an entirely voluntary public-service position with no remuneration or benefits of any kind.
III. Supplementary Notes
First-batch appointees shall conduct regional academic liaison work in an objective, rigorous and public-spirited manner, helping the journal pool global agricultural academic resources and develop a high-efficiency international academic exchange platform. The journal will carry out supplementary recruitment and rotation of Volunteer Academic Liaison Officers in due course according to operational needs.
