Our Story
The World Academy of Agricultural Sciences (WAAS, 世界农业科学院) is an international non-profit scientific organization established to address the pressing global challenges in food security and sustainable agriculture.
Registered as an international organization in the United States, WAAS operates under the supervision of the The International Agency for Science and Technology Development (IASTD, 国际科学技术开发署), ensuring our commitment to scientific excellence and global public good.
Through our China Research Institute and global network of partners, we unite researchers, institutions, and stakeholders worldwide to develop innovative solutions for safeguarding world food security and protecting sustainable agro-ecological systems.
WAAS has fully established Rocky Mountain National University in Denver, Colorado, USA, which serves as an important platform for the Academy to conduct scientific research and professional training programs. This institution strengthens our capacity to advance agricultural science education and foster the next generation of global agricultural leaders.
