WAAS China Science and Technology Center Visits School of Bioengineering, Beijing Polytechnic University for Exchange Seminar

Recently, representatives from WAAS China Science and Technology Center (Shinong Linghang Technology R&D (Beijing) Co., Ltd.) were invited to visit the School of Bioengineering, Beijing Polytechnic University of Science and Technology. The delegation toured professional laboratories, pilot-scale bases and food-processing training platforms, and conducted in-depth research on the school's scientific research capacity, training facilities and characteristics of international vocational-skill training.

Food Processing Training Workshop
As a benchmark faculty for biotechnology vocational education in China, the School of Bioengineering ranks No.1 nationwide for six consecutive years in biotechnology-related majors and has been awarded the title of National Advanced Collective in Education System. It operates seven major professional training venues with a total investment of RMB 40 million, including national-level pilot-production bases for biomedicine, food-inspection laboratories, coffee-processing training workshops and beverage pilot production lines, equipped with self-developed cutting-edge teaching-training equipment. Adhering to the philosophy of research-driven innovation and integrated education-training, the school implements an integrated talent-training model covering post-requirement-oriented curriculum, competition, certification, research and innovation. Besides domestic industry-education integration, it has rich experience in overseas training, having delivered vocational training for more than 200 technicians from Belt-and-Road partner countries. Solid practical achievements have been accumulated in nutritious-food development, food inspection & testing, biomedicine research, beverage-process R&D and other fields.

Leveraging the college's mature training hardware and curriculum system together with WAAS's global agricultural industrial resources, joint international training will cultivate technical practitioners with solid theoretical knowledge and hands-on capabilities, supporting industrial upgrading and food-security capacity building in developing countries.
Cooperation Outlook
Favorable cooperation intentions have been reached through thorough consultations. Both sides will further refine implementation plans, explore diversified cooperation modes including joint curriculum development, training-resource sharing and joint trainee cultivation as well as research-result transformation. Both parties aim to build a global-oriented international vocational-skill training platform focusing on food and biomedicine sectors, contributing to high-quality and sustainable development of global agriculture and health industries.
